The great and controversial Dr. Jerry Falwell passed away this morning, Tuesday, May 15th. He was an incredible man that pushed and preached the need for conservative and biblical values. Dr. Falwell not only loved the Lord, but dedicated his life to the instructing of those called to ministry. He will be sorely missed.

Ch. Kay,
I will miss Dr. Falwell and the impact that he had on the world around us. I have heard him speak many times and grew to admire his faith tremendously. He has not only impacted my life, but the lives of millions. He will be missed!

CH Mark,
I couldn’t agree more with your comment. His position in evangelical life might remian vacant for quite some time. Replacing Dr. Falwell will be like replacing an Adrian Rogers or Billy Graham – impossible.

Although I am only an online student at Liberty Seminary, Dr. Falwell’s ministry has had a significant impact on my life. I am so thankful that he persevered through so much contreversy so that many people could be reached with the gospel. I agree that he is irreplaceable, but I know the leadership at Liberty and Thomas Road will do their best to strive for the standards he set.
